When homeless people show up in hospital emergency rooms, clinicians provide them the best care they can, knowing full well that they’ll be back again soon. One homeless man visited the ER at Norwalk Hospital 110 times in a single year. “It’s difficult to provide homeless people with consistent health care, but we can’t give up on them,” said Lisa Bahadosingh, director of special projects for Supportive Housing Works, which coordinates services for the homeless in Fairfield County.
