New Haven – The Cornell Scott–Hill Health Center (CS-HHC) today announced a two-year grant award from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven totaling $146,243 to support Grant Street Partnership, which provides addiction treatment services and support and to the program’s new Recovery and Wellness Center which will replace Grant Street Partnership and expand services.

A total of $73,743 will be dispersed in 2020, the first year of the grant, and the remaining $72,500 will be dispersed in 2021, according to CS-HHC officials, who said the funds will support the ongoing inpatient medical services for men. “The holistic medical approach to treatment, which includes individual and group therapy, medication management, primary care, trauma recovery yoga and 12-step recovery education, is highly effective”, stated Dr. Ece Tek, Chief of Behavioral Health Services.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with this generous  level of  support from one of our most committed community partners,” said the health center’s CEO, Michael R. Taylor. “This grant award is not only a response to a critical health care need facing the residents of Greater New Haven, but also evidence that an integrated medical approach to treating substance use and addiction saves and restores lives.”
