Experienced Foundation Executive Brings Insight, Broad Knowledge of Greater New Haven Community

(New Haven) – Kim A. Healey has joined the Cornell Scott Hill Health Center Foundation Board of Directors. Healey retired as Executive Director of NewAlliance Foundation, an independent private charitable foundation based in New Haven, in 2022 after a more than two-decade tenure leading the foundation. 


In welcoming Healey to the CSHHC Foundation, Board Chair LindyLee Gold cites her remarkable career, professional achievements, and the depth of her familiarity with the Greater New Haven community.

Healey, a New Haven native and graduate of Williams College, is also an Associate Fellow of Grace Hopper College, Yale University. She currently serves on the boards of Gaylord Healthcare, Community Economic Development Fund Foundation, Women’s Health Research Yale, and the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County. She also serves on the Hall of Fame selection committees for Junior Achievement and Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.


In addition, Healey co-chaired the 2024 Gala Committees for both St. Martin de Porres Academy and International Festival of Arts & Ideas. Her past Connecticut nonprofit board service includes chairing the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy and co-chairing the relaunch of the Women’s Leadership Initiative of the United Way of Greater New Haven.

Taylor, Foundation Board President and CEO of Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center.  


Healey was presented with the inaugural Junior Achievement of Southwestern New England’s “Spirit of Hope” Award and the prestigious Connecticut Council for Philanthropy “Martha S. Newman Award.” She was also recognized by Girl Scouts of Connecticut as a “Woman of Merit,” and inducted into Gateway Community College Foundation’s Hall of Fame. 


She also received the United Way of New York City’s “Women United in Philanthropy” award; New Haven Business Times’ “Twenty Noteworthy Women” recognition; and Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven’s “Master Builder Award.”


 Healey lives in Fairfield, Conn., with her husband, John McCreight.
