The Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center (CS-HHC) is pleased to announce that Mary Ellen Cody joined the New Haven based organization as Chief Development Officer, on Monday, April 25, 2022. Ms. Cody is best known as a force behind the growth and development of the Gateway Community College Foundation. For over 13 years, Ms. Cody worked with committed board members to nurture the Foundation, which supports higher education and economically challenged members of the greater New Haven community and is viewed as a highly effective foundation. CS-HHC’s mission and its medical, behavioral health and dental programs are devoted to improving the health and well-being of many of the same community members.
Michael R. Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of CS-HHC’s noted, “For many years, I’ve marveled at the energy, tenacity, and creativity that Mary Ellen brings to advocating for people who are, in many instances, our patients and staff. Adding her to our leadership team is integral to our organization’s future. She exudes CS-HHC’s mission and values, and we are thrilled that she will contribute her skills and passion to help us increase our positive impact in this community.”
CS-HHC has more than doubled in size over the past several years and now serves more than 50,000 people annually. The recruitment of Ms. Cody signals a new chapter in CS-HHC’s efforts to increase its outreach and appeal to the donor community throughout greater New Haven and Connecticut. “I am honored to join CS-HHC and this special group of people who dedicate themselves to improving the lives of others and who exemplify the spirit of service that Cornell Scott brought to this community,” said Cody.
