NEW HAVEN, CT. - The Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center (CSHHC) announces that Michael R. Taylor, its Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), effective immediately. NACHC is the professional and advocacy association representing the nation’s 1,500+ community health centers.

“NACHC is the leading advocacy voice in support of 1,500+ community health centers that serve the nation’s uninsured and medically underserved. It’s an honor to be given this opportunity to collaborate with peers from health centers across the country to advance the health center movement” said Taylor, who took the helm of CSHHC in 2013 after serving as its COO.

Ken Lalime, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Health Center Association of Connecticut, praised the choice of Mr. Taylor for the NACHC Board. “We are thrilled to have a CT representative on the NACHC Board. And, Michael’s experience in the community health center world, and specifically, at Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center, will be to the benefit of health centers and their patients across the country.”

In addition to advocacy, the NACHC conducts research, provides training and leadership development and technical assistance for community health centers, and develops public and private sector partnerships and alliances in the interest of building healthier communities.
